Life Scout Patrick chose Paradise Creek for his Eagle Scout project, the highest honor a Boy Scout can earn. On February 17th Patrick and 6 boys from his troop, with the assistance of several Paradise Creek Volunteers, installed refurbished bird houses along the Wildflower Trail. The houses were old and in disrepair. Patrick used his carpentry skills to build 11 new bird houses and refurbished several more, including the addition of raccoon and snake guards to protect the birds. He installed the new houses and straightened the poles they were on. Many thanks to Patrick for the bird houses, we can't wait ‘til spring to see them in use!
